Landon took in the blonde. She was still the girl that he remembered. He was really glad that she had decided to move back to Lima. Landon had missed her for sure. Nonetheless she was back and that was all that mattered right now. As soon as Landon heard her return comment, a smirk came on to his face. Then grinning when she dropped that little act between then hugged him. Of course Landon returned it and wrapped his arms around her tiny frame with that same smile. He soon pulled back from the embrace as she did so. Landon soon gestured for the girl to come inside his house.
After Molly did, he closed the door and followed her into the living room. “I missed you too. I’m really glad you’re back Molly.”, Landon replied sincerely, his smile never leaving as he looked over at the blonde. “Not bad thanks. Sorry if the place is a little messy. I tried to clean up some before you came over..”, He said which was followed by a soft chuckle as one of Landon’s hands went to run through his hair. The key word being tried. He blamed it on not expecting the company and plus he was a 18 year old guy living by himself with no help. Hopefully Molly didn’t mind too much. It wasn’t that messy anyways. “How about yourself. You adjusting to Lima once again?”, Landon asked with a smile over towards the girl and hoped everything was going alright for her. He knew what it was like to live alone and must be somewhat difficult considering she was paying for her apartment and stuff.
Molly let out a shaky breath. “I’m glad to be back. Really. I mean… Lima… it’s home.” She shrugged. This town held a piece of her heart. She realized that as soon as she got down to Florida, and spent most of her time there miserable when she could have been out having the time of her life. She laughed, her head shaking a little. “It’s not that bad, c’mon. It’s no worse than my apartment.” She of all people knew how easy it was for home to get a little untidy. Her apartment wasn’t messy or anything, it just wasn’t like back home with her parents. She was guilty of leaving things where they shouldn’t be, and kicking her shoes off by the door.
“I’m…” she trailed off, thinking the question over. “I’m good.” As good as she could be. “I go to school, work, sleep, eat a meal if I remember, repeat.” She chuckled quietly, but it was pretty true. Same thing every day. She was down to about one meal a day— usually at work because she hated going to the grocery store and only did so when she had to. Maybe a poptart in the morning before school. Plus working at a restaurant made that easy. She wasn’t the world’s best cook. “I guess it’s just weird being on my own, but I’ll be alright. Had to sacrifice my parents’ help when I moved here…” She scratched the back of her head. “Lima’s still the same. I’m actually surprised how easily I remembered everything. I know the town like the back of my hand.” Her smile was small now, but still present. She glanced towards the back of the house. “No actual race yet, but are you ready to practice and kick my ass,” she mumbled the last part before laughing. She was way out of practice.
